BACKGROUND

I was brought onto the Enron Raptor team on the UT Austin Theatre department to work on the electronics. Our task was to provide lighting for multiple raptor suits and communicate with them wirelessly. I was just beginning to explore some electrical engineering, and was excited to jump in.

Electroluminscient wire lighting up wirelessly via XBEE, after days of frustrating setbacks.

Arduino stack running AC to the EL wire and DC to the LED strips. Running signals through multiple strands of addressable LEDs caused random LEDs to flicker; after a quick day of experimenting, we determined that the different lengths of addressable LEDs were causing the glitch, and we quickly resolved it.
